Authorities strongly suspect the remains may belong to Marvin Cante and John Raymundo, cousins who went missing on November 26th. The two Salvapan residents were last seen traveling from Belmopan to the Belize District, but their vehicle was discovered the next day, abandoned with the engine still running near the road to the Sanitary Landfill.
Since their disappearance, extensive searches have been carried out, but no substantial leads had surfaced until Wednesday’s grim discovery. While suspicions are high, authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the bodies.
Further information indicates that police discovered a shallow grave at the scene, suggesting that a body—or bodies—had been buried but later moved. Investigators reportedly found traces of human blood and a pair of tennis shoes nearby, adding to the mounting evidence.
