In a statement released Sunday, Commissioner Williams described the incident as a devastating tragedy that has deeply affected the community. He expressed sympathies to grieving families and offered support to those injured in the crash, wishing them a swift recovery.
“This heartbreaking incident has left an immense void in our community, and our thoughts and prayers are with all those grieving the loss of their loved ones,” said Williams.
The Commissioner assured the public that the Belize Police Department, in collaboration with the Department of Transport, will intensify efforts to ensure the nation’s highways are safe for all users. He also urged drivers and motorcycle riders to exercise extreme caution, emphasizing the importance of road safety to prevent further tragedies.
