By Belize Live News Staff: The Vital Statistics Unit, under the Attorney General’s Ministry, announced on Monday that its offices in Belize City and Orange Walk District will close on December 5 and 6 for administrative reasons.
Normal operations are set to resume on December 9, 2024, according to an official statement. The temporary closure will impact in-person services at both locations.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the public’s understanding,” the statement read. The Unit encouraged residents to plan accordingly and offered a hotline for urgent inquiries at (501) 223-5625 or (501) 223-7405.
The Unit, based in Belize City, oversees vital records including birth, marriage, and death registrations.
