By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities have confirmed the cause of death in the murder investigation of Shawn Albert Ortiz Campbell, a 43-year-old taxi driver. A post-mortem examination conducted on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, revealed that Ortiz Campbell died as a result of a single stab wound.
The examination, carried out at the Karl Heusner Memorial Morgue, provided critical information for the ongoing investigation. Ortiz Campbell, whose murder occurred on Monday, November 4, 2024, was formally identified by his common-law wife, a 29-year-old call center agent from Belize City.
Police are continuing their efforts to uncover the circumstances leading to Ortiz Campbell’s death and to bring those responsible to justice.
