By Belize Live News Staff: A police officer and three other men have been remanded to the Belize Central Prison for the murder of taxi driver Shawn Ortiz Campbell. The suspects, including 23-year-old Police Constable Peter Perez, Kyle Domingo, 35, Gasman Jones, 18, and Charles Alexander Brown, 47, appeared in court on Thursday.
Campbell was fatally stabbed early Monday morning outside Stephen’s Place on Faber’s Road. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Campbell involved in an altercation with the men. No plea was taken, and bail was denied. The suspects are due back in court on January 6, 2025.
