By Belize Live News Staff: Leader of the Opposition Moses “Shyne” Barrow has awarded a $1,000 prize to the Ladyville Technical High School Robotics Club after their impressive second-place finish in the regional “Solve for Tomorrow Challenge,” hosted by Samsung.
In a message shared on social media, Barrow praised the students for their innovation and drive. “I encouraged the students to keep being innovative, creative, and visionary. Young people hold the keys to unlock a better and much-advanced future only they can imagine,” he stated.
Barrow emphasized the global potential of Belizean youth, noting, “Our Belizean youth are world-class whether in academics, sports, or arts. There is no table they do not deserve a seat at, no place where they do not belong. Our youth are ever worthy and deserving.”
The Robotics Club, which was established recently, has already participated in a number of major competitions. Barrow extended his gratitude to the school’s principal and teachers for fostering an environment where students can “pursue their genius and be great”.
“The UDP Opposition will continue to support the Robotics Club and youth across the nation,” Barrow concluded.
