By Belize Live News Staff: Elvira Mulholland, the American woman accused of shooting her Canadian husband on the Coastal Highway, is now facing a total of four criminal charges. The 44-year-old appeared in court on Monday to answer charges of attempted murder, harm, and use of deadly means of harm upon her husband, Jeffrey Mulholland, who survived the attack.
In a second court appearance on Wednesday, Mulholland was read an additional charge of robbery. She is accused of stealing $9,000 in cash and an iPhone 16, valued at $4,000. Given the serious nature of the charges, bail was denied, and Mulholland remains in custody, with her next court date set for December 30th.
