By Belize Live News Staff: In a brief ceremony on Wednesday, CEO Servulo Baeza officially awarded a scholarship to Mr. Jose Tillett for a Master’s Degree in Post Harvest Management. This generous scholarship, courtesy of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), aims to address challenges that have arisen in the use of refrigerated storage containers donated by JICA for vegetable crops.
CEO Baeza expressed his sincere gratitude to the Japanese government for their continued generosity and support. He emphasized that the expertise Mr. Tillett gains through this program will be invaluable to various sectors of the agricultural industry.
Mr. Tillett is set to embark on his academic journey at Yamagata University in Japan this October. This scholarship represents a step towards enhancing post-harvest management practices and ensuring the optimal utilization of valuable resources in the agricultural sector.
