UDP's Taegar Panton, Faber, Saldivar refute resignation claims

By Belize Live News Staff: Senior members of Belize’s United Democratic Party (UDP) on Thursday firmly denied reports of their resignation, underscoring their continued commitment to the party despite ongoing internal disputes.

In a statement posted on social media, Tracy Taegar Panton, the UDP representative for the Albert Division declared that she, along with Patrick Faber, Beverly Williams, and John Saldivar, had not resigned from the party.

“We have NO intention of resigning from our great United Democratic Party,” Panton wrote, making it clear that these key members remain loyal to the UDP.
The announcement comes amid escalating tensions within the party, as various factions clash over leadership and constitutional interpretations. Panton’s statement appears to be a direct response to speculation regarding potential resignations as the UDP faces internal challenges.

The reaffirmation of allegiance from these senior UDP members signals their intent to remain engaged in the party’s future, even as calls for leadership changes and adherence to constitutional protocols continue to stir controversy.
