Dry, hot, and breezy: Belize sees more heat today, rough seas for boaters

Mild and dry weather marks the end of October in Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: The dry season continues to flex its grip over Belize, delivering another scorcher today under fair and warm skies. According to forecaster Tareek Matthews, the country will see “mostly sunny conditions with a few cloudy spells,” and only isolated showers expected—mainly over southern Belize tonight.

But it’s not just the sun to be cautious of—winds from the east-southeast at 10 to 20 knots are pushing sea conditions to moderate and rough levels. The Meteorological Service has issued a Small Craft Caution due to gusty winds and waves between 4 and 7 feet.

Inland highs will peak around 98°F (37°C), while coastal areas can expect around 90°F. Tonight, it cools slightly, with temperatures ranging from 76°F inland to 83°F on the coast. Boaters and beachgoers are advised to remain alert, and residents—particularly in the hotter districts—should take precautions to avoid heat-related illness.

The trend is expected to hold through Friday, keeping skies dry, seas choppy, and temperatures sizzling.
