By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is actively engaging in critical global health dialogue as a delegation led by Minister of Health and Wellness Kevin Bernard participates in the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
The event, which brings together health ministers and experts from around the world, is centered on strengthening pandemic readiness, promoting fairness in healthcare access, and reinforcing global health regulations.
Minister Bernard is joined by Dr. Andrei Chell and Dr. Francis Morey, who are contributing to sessions on improving healthcare systems and advocating for financing mechanisms that support small, resource-limited countries like Belize. Their presence ensures that Belize’s needs are heard in conversations shaping the future of global health.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of resilient public health infrastructure and highlighted Belize’s progress and challenges in post-pandemic recovery.
