By Belize Live News Staff: A tip about something being hidden in an Orange Walk lot has led police to a stash of bullets and drugs.
On Friday night, GI3 officers went to an empty, bushy lot at Chips Alley and Cabbage Street after receiving information that someone was hiding items there.
Under a cement block, they found a green plastic bag containing 24 live 9mm rounds and a smaller bag of suspected cocaine.
At the Orange Walk Police Station, the drugs were weighed at 7.3 grams.
With no one claiming the items, police deposited them as found property. No arrests have been made.
The find comes as police continue operations targeting illegal firearms, ammunition and drugs in Orange Walk Town.
