By Belize Live News Staff: A government employee on official duty lost his life this morning in a road traffic accident just outside Orange Walk Town. The victim has been identified as Raymond Belgrave, a driver attached to the Belize Family Court.
Belgrave was behind the wheel of a Government of Belize-owned Foton pickup when the incident occurred. Reports indicate he was traveling northbound and approaching a roundabout when he lost control of the vehicle. The pickup reportedly flipped, vaulted over a fence, clipped it, and then landed violently on the grass nearby.
It is believed that Belgrave suffered a fatal injury during the impact, with first responders confirming his death at the scene.
He was reportedly on official court business at the time of the crash.
