By Belize Live News Staff: The Belizean cycling community is mourning the passing of Clinton Castillo, a beloved icon in the sport who made history at a young age. The Cycling Federation of Belize shared heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Castillo, remembering his incredible achievements on the road.
Clinton Castillo etched his name into Belizean sports history by becoming the youngest winner of the Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic in 1953, when he claimed victory in a handicapped race at just 16 years old. He cemented his legacy with a second Cross Country win in 1967.
