BTIA Cayo Chapter elects new board, explores partnership with Town Council

By Belize Live News Staff: The BTIA Cayo Chapter held its annual general meeting and membership mixer on Wednesday evening at the Cayo Welcome Center, featuring guest speaker Mayor Earl Trapp, who emphasized new opportunities for collaboration between the San Ignacio/Santa Elena Town Council and the BTIA.

BTIA President Efren Perez and Executive Director Linette Canto outlined the association’s future vision before members elected a new Cayo Board of Directors. The new board includes Chair Mike Preston, Secretary Nigel Richards, Treasurer Gerald Wolhers, and Directors Dr. Cynthia Eve Aird and Henry Montero.

BTIA National congratulated the newly elected board and expressed gratitude to all who attended, signaling a renewed commitment to growth and innovation in Cayo’s tourism sector.
