By Belize Live News Staff: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has issued a firm public warning to Tracy Panton, calling on her to “cease and desist” from claiming she is a member of the party. This follows a Supreme Court ruling that confirmed her expulsion from the UDP dating back to August 28, 2024.
In a statement released today, the UDP cited Justice Hondora’s ruling from May 7, 2025, which clearly stated that Panton’s request to be legally recognized as a UDP member was denied. The court refused to reinstate her membership and affirmed that the matter of her status rests solely with the internal executive organs of the party — organs that have not reversed her expulsion.
“The general public and media outlets are duly advised that Tracy Panton has no authority or status as a member of the UDP,” the statement reads.
The party further suggested that Panton should consider issuing a public apology to begin the process of reconciliation. “It would be best for Tracy Panton to atone for her actions, which the Court ruled against and has caused the UDP irreversible damage,” the release continued.
The UDP also warned that any continued false representation or unauthorized use of the party’s name could lead to legal consequences, including aggravated damages.
