By Belize Live News Staff: On the evening of April 19, 2025, a man identified as 35-year-old Derrick Hines was shot on Prince Street in Punta Gorda around 9:15 p.m. Hines, who was struck in the neck, was quickly attended to by authorities and taken to the Punta Gorda Hospital.
Due to the nature of his injuries, he was transferred to the Western Regional Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Police have not yet provided details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and investigations are ongoing.
