By Belize Live News Staff: Belize continues to sizzle under the heat of the dry season, with today’s forecast bringing intensely sunny skies, soaring temperatures, and gusty winds. A fresh to strong east-southeasterly airflow is sweeping across the country, pushing inland temperatures up to a sweltering 96°F (36°C) and coastal areas peaking at 89°F (32°C).
The heat isn’t the only thing turning up—winds are clocking in at 15 to 25 knots, creating rough sea conditions with waves between 7 to 8 feet. A Small Craft Warning remains in effect, and mariners are advised to stay in safe harbor.
Tonight, skies will be clear to partly cloudy, offering some relief from the day’s intense heat. However, the dry conditions are expected to continue into Friday, with no significant rainfall on the horizon.
Residents are urged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and heed marine advisories.
