By Belize Live News Staff: As warm and humid conditions persist over Belize, residents should anticipate sunny skies with periods of cloudiness today. The Belize Meteorological Service forecasts that light showers will develop along coastal regions this morning before shifting inland by the afternoon. Tonight, showers will remain isolated but could increase along coastal areas once again.
For those venturing onto the water, marine conditions are expected to be stable, with east-northeast winds blowing at 10-15 knots. The sea state is light to choppy, and waves will range from 2 to 4 feet, providing good conditions for boating and fishing activities.
Temperatures will be warm, with highs reaching 85°F (29°C) along the coast, 88°F (31°C) inland, and 78°F (26°C) in the hills. By nightfall, temperatures will cool slightly to 78°F (26°C) along the coast, 70°F (21°C) inland, and 65°F (18°C) in the hills, creating a comfortable evening atmosphere.
The outlook for Saturday and Saturday night indicates that coastal areas will experience morning showers, which will decrease and become isolated as the day progresses.
Today’s tides include a low tide at 8:52 AM, followed by a high tide at 3:40 PM and another low tide at 12:20 AM on Saturday. The next high tide is scheduled for 7:08 AM on Saturday. The sun is set to rise at 6:16 AM and set at 5:56 PM, while the moon will set at 11:57 AM and rise again at 1:45 AM tomorrow.
Forecaster Catherine Cumberbatch recommends that residents enjoy the warm, sunny weather but remain alert for light rainfall, especially if they are along the coast or inland areas during the afternoon and evening hours.
