Police find four skull marked bags of suspected cocaine on motorcycle

Cocaine

By Belize Live News Staff: A motorcycle stop in Palmar Village over the weekend has led to two men being charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

Police say officers on patrol on Santa Barbara Street around 3:20am on Saturday noticed two men dressed in black on a black motorcycle who kept looking back at the police vehicle. The officers turned on their lights and signalled the driver to pull over.

Nothing was found during searches of the two men. However, when officers checked the motorcycle, they found four small Ziploc bags marked with skulls, containing white powder believed to be cocaine.

The men were identified as Travis Patt, 21, and Henry Torres, 43, both of Palmar Village.

At the Orange Walk Police Station, the suspected cocaine was weighed at 1.68 grams and sealed in an evidence envelope, which both men signed.

On Saturday, October 31, police formally charged both men with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. They remained silent when cautioned.

Torres now faces two drug charges, after police also charged him with possession of a smaller amount of suspected cocaine allegedly found in his pocket.
