By Belize Live News Staff: The Ministry of Education is in the final stages of its investigation into the death of Gabriel Orellano, with a meeting scheduled with the Belize Police Department to conclude the report. Minister Francis Fonseca stated that once the report is complete, the ministry will share its findings with the Orellano family before releasing the information to the public.
Addressing recent comments by Stella Maris School Principal Francelia Cantun regarding school security measures, Fonseca acknowledged the concerns but highlighted that Cantun’s retirement at the end of April means the ministry is already seeking new leadership for the school. The ministry expects to announce her successor by late March.
