By Belize Live News Staff: The Department of Transport (DOT) has announced the launch of a nationwide distribution of pending license plates, stickers, and driver’s license cards for individuals who have already made payments. This initiative aims to streamline the distribution process, address backlogs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
To improve efficiency, multiple teams will be deployed across the country on designated dates, supporting district offices in distributing the items. Customers are required to present their payment receipts, along with the original Certificate of Title, to claim their license plates. All collections must be made from the same office where payments were originally processed.
For added convenience, district offices will remain open during normal working hours, including lunch hours, on the scheduled distribution days. The distribution will begin on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Belmopan, Spanish Lookout, and Santa Elena, followed by Belize City on Friday, February 21. Collections will continue on Monday, February 24, in Corozal and Orange Walk and conclude on Tuesday, February 25, in Dangriga, Independence, and Punta Gorda.
Customers are encouraged to visit their respective district offices on the specified dates to collect their items. The DOT acknowledges any inconvenience caused by the delays and assures the public that measures are being implemented to prevent future issues. The department appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as it strives to create a more efficient and customer-friendly system.
