By Belize Live News Staff: Maria Annel Rodriguez was officially sworn in as Belize’s new Auditor General on Wednesday at the Belize House in Belmopan. Her appointment, effective from January 1, 2025, to July 28, 2047, marks a key step in strengthening government transparency and accountability.
Rodriguez will lead the Auditor General’s Office, overseeing the auditing of government expenditures and promoting responsible management of public resources. During the ceremony, she pledged to uphold integrity, impartiality, and transparency in her role.
