By Belize Live News Staff: Cloudy spells and scattered showers will linger over Belize today, but drier conditions are set to move in by tonight, bringing a stretch of fair weather to the region. The Belize Meteorological Service reports that moist easterly airflow will generate showers across the country early in the day, but rainfall activity will become more isolated as the day progresses.
The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with brief showers scattered throughout the country. However, as night falls, showers will decrease significantly, paving the way for clearer skies and improved conditions for midweek.
Winds will shift during the day, starting from the east-southeast at 5-15 knots before increasing to 10-20 knots. Sea conditions will remain moderate, with waves ranging between 4 and 6 feet. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution, particularly in areas experiencing stronger winds.
Temperatures will be warm and consistent, with highs of 85°F (29°C) along the coast, 88°F (31°C) inland, and 76°F (24°C) in the hills. Overnight, temperatures will dip to 78°F (26°C) on the coast, 70°F (21°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in elevated areas.
Looking ahead, Wednesday and Wednesday night will bring generally fair conditions, with little to no rain expected as drier air takes hold.
