By Belize Live News Staff: A 28-year-old security guard from Silk Grass Village, Stann Creek District, has been charged with three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse following an official investigation.
The accused, Cesar Heraldo Diaz, was taken into custody on January 30, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., after police gathered evidence in connection with a complaint filed by a female minor and her mother on January 10, 2025. The charges were brought on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the investigation but have confirmed that the case is being treated with seriousness and urgency. The accused is expected to appear before the court, where legal proceedings will determine the outcome of the case.
