Sunny skies and minimal showers expected across Belize

Belize enjoys a breezy and mostly dry start to the weekend

By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can look forward to another day of pleasant weather as fair conditions dominate the forecast for January 13, 2025. The Belize Meteorological Service predicts mostly sunny skies with a few cloudy intervals during the day, transitioning to clear to partly cloudy skies tonight. Any showers that occur will be isolated, maintaining the country’s recent trend of stable and dry weather.

Marine conditions are ideal for activities along the coast, with light east-southeast winds blowing at 10-15 knots. The sea state is calm, ranging from slight to a light chop, with wave heights between 1 and 4 feet. Mariners and coastal travelers can expect smooth sailing and favorable conditions for water-based activities.

Temperatures will be warm and comfortable across the country. Coastal areas will reach highs of 85°F (29°C) and dip to 76°F (24°C) overnight. Inland regions will see daytime highs of 88°F (31°C), cooling to 69°F (21°C) at night. The hilly areas will experience daytime highs of 77°F (25°C) and nighttime lows of 65°F (18°C).

The outlook for Tuesday and Tuesday night suggests partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with showers remaining mostly isolated but potentially increasing slightly over northern and central areas.

Today’s tidal schedule includes a high tide at 10:25 AM, a low tide at 3:06 PM, and another high tide at 9:32 PM. Tomorrow morning’s low tide is expected at 4:59 AM. Sunrise was at 6:25 AM, and sunset will be at 5:37 PM. The moon set at 6:18 AM and will rise again at 5:33 PM.

Forecaster Tareek Matthews highlights the continued favorable conditions, encouraging residents and visitors to take full advantage of the calm and sunny weather. With minimal rainfall expected, it’s an excellent day for outdoor and recreational activities.
