By Belize Live News Staff: A devastating fire broke out this morning on Boots Crescent in Belize City, completely destroying the home of James Lamb just days before Christmas.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. At the time of the fire, Lamb was not present, and it was a vigilant neighbor who first noticed the blaze. The neighbor, a longtime resident of the area, recounted, “My daughter came in and told me the neighbor’s house was on fire. I looked outside and saw smoke pouring from the roof.” She quickly called 911 and alerted nearby workers to notify Lamb.
The destroyed home was a high concrete and wooden structure with zinc roofing.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, the loss leaves Lamb and his family without a home during the holiday season.
