By Belize Live News Staff: An Orange Walk taxi driver believes the damage to his car may be connected to an earlier confrontation.
The 36 year old told police his taxi’s windshield was damaged overnight while it was parked outside his home on Blue Creek Street. The repair is valued at $550.
He said he suspects a man he had an altercation with five days earlier, during which, he alleges, the man struck him on the head with a chair.
According to the driver, the man is the former partner of his current common law partner. He also told police that his partner has been receiving threatening text messages and audio clips from the man.
No one has been charged, and the matter is under investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Orange Walk Police.
