By Belize Live News Staff: According to the Belize Meteorological Service, the general forecast for today predicts predominantly fair weather conditions across Belize, with occasional cloudy spells. Isolated showers are expected, becoming more concentrated over some coastal areas later tonight.
The 24-hour outlook calls for sunny skies with a few intermittent clouds today. By nightfall, cloudy intervals are expected to persist, bringing scattered light showers primarily to coastal regions. These mild conditions align with the seasonal pattern, offering a mix of warmth during the day and cooler temperatures at night.
Winds are forecasted to blow from the north to northwest at speeds between 5-15 knots, maintaining a “light chop to choppy” sea state with wave heights ranging from 2-5 feet. For marine enthusiasts, conditions are favorable, although vigilance is advised near coastal waters during late-night showers.
Daytime temperatures will peak at 84°F (29°C) inland, slightly cooler at 82°F (28°C) along the coast, and a comfortable 70°F (21°C) in the hills. Tonight, lows will dip to 66°F (19°C) inland, 72°F (22°C) on the coast, and 63°F (17°C) in elevated areas.
The forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday night indicates an increase in cloud cover with light rain showers moving inland in the afternoon. By nighttime, shower activity will diminish over the mainland but may persist along the coast.
Tides today include a high at 11:21 AM and 10:20 PM, and a low at 4:02 PM. Tomorrow morning’s low tide is at 5:57 AM. Sunrise occurred at 6:16 AM, with sunset expected at 5:21 PM. The moon will set at 7:36 AM and rise at 6:48 PM, offering a scenic evening glow for stargazers.
The Belize Meteorological Service also notes that marine and inland conditions will remain calm, with skies becoming cloudy at times over the next 48 hours. Belizeans are advised to prepare for scattered showers, especially along the coast by Tuesday night.
