By Belize Live News Staff: A fresh northeasterly airflow is bringing sunny skies and pleasant temperatures to Belize today, but the National Meteorological Service is advising of changing conditions as we head into the weekend. While today promises to be dry with only a few cloudy spells, forecasters predict increasing cloud cover and isolated showers tonight, particularly in the south.
Temperatures across the country are expected to be comfortable, ranging from highs of 83°F (28°C) along the coast to 85°F (29°C) inland. Those in the hills can expect slightly cooler conditions with highs around 74°F (23°C).
Boaters and those with marine interests should take note of the small craft caution in effect. Moderate-rough seas with waves of 5-7 feet are anticipated, along with gusty winds and locally rough seas.
Looking ahead, Friday is expected to bring continued cloudiness and isolated showers. The weekend outlook shows an increased chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly affecting coastal and southern areas on Friday night. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay updated on the latest weather forecasts and advisories from the National Meteorological Service.
