Belize Courts closed due to flooding from Tropical Storm Sara

By Belize Live News Staff: The Office of Chief Justice Louise Blenman has announced that the High Court, Magistrate’s Courts, Family Courts, and the General Registry across Belize will remain closed today, Monday, due to widespread flooding caused by Tropical Storm Sara.

The courts are set to reopen on Wednesday at 8 a.m., following the Garifuna Settlement Day holiday.

All cases affected by the closure will be rescheduled, with new dates to be communicated to the relevant parties.

In exceptional circumstances, the Senior Court will be available to hear urgent applications, contingent on weather and access conditions.
