Prime Minister Briceño cuts official visit short, returns to Belize amid Tropical Storm Sara concerns

By Belize Live News Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister has announced that Prime Minister John Briceño has returned to Belize, cutting short his official visit to Mexico.

The Prime Minister had traveled to Mexico City on Wednesday, November 13, to participate in the “270th Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of COCESNA.” However, with the imminent threat posed by Tropical Storm Sara, he made the decision to return to Belize ahead of schedule.

Prime Minister Briceño is now focused on ensuring that the country is fully prepared for any potential impact from the storm. He will be working closely with the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) to oversee disaster preparedness efforts and coordinate responses in affected areas.

The government has urged citizens to stay vigilant, monitor official updates, and take necessary precautions as Tropical Storm Sara approaches.

More updates will follow as the situation develops.
