By Belize Live News Staff: Residents and visitors of Belize can look forward to a weekend of pleasant weather, with mostly fair conditions and isolated showers expected across the country.
According to the National Meteorological Service, today will bring sunny skies with a few cloudy spells, and temperatures reaching a high of 88°F on the coast and 90°F inland. While isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible, the chance increases slightly inland this afternoon and over the south tonight.
Boaters can expect light and variable winds with slight sea state and waves of 1-3 feet.
Looking ahead to Sunday, generally fair weather is expected to continue with isolated showers.
In other news, Tropical Storm Rafael is currently located about 265 miles north-northwest of Progreso, Mexico, and is moving west-northwest at 6 mph with maximum sustained winds of 65 mph. The storm is not expected to pose a threat to Belize.
