By Belize Live News Staff: A Ladyville man is facing serious charges after being accused of sexually assaulting his 12-year-old step-granddaughter. According to police, the child reported that her step-grandfather assaulted her in their home after she returned from school. The victim told her mother about the incident, who immediately filed a report at the Ladyville police station.
Medical examinations have since confirmed that the child was sexually abused. Police have launched an investigation, and the accused step-grandfather is expected to be formally charged.
