Belize Government Lotteries announces $1 million anniversary jackpot raffle

By Belize Live News Staff: In celebration of its first anniversary, the Belize Government Lotteries Ltd. (BGLL) has announced an exciting, one-time-only raffle event, the “One & A Million Anniversary Jackpot.” This celebratory raffle is designed to honor the organization’s successful first year, inviting Belizeans nationwide to participate in a thrilling chance to win a grand prize of $1 million BZD.

Starting today, November 4, 2024, tickets will be available for purchase from BGLL sub-agents across the country. Participants can select their lucky four-digit sequence, similar to a traditional lottery jackpot format, with each ticket priced at $5. Ticket sales close on December 20, 2024, at 9:00 pm, and the much-anticipated drawing will take place on December 21, 2024, at 10:00 am.

In case multiple winners hit the jackpot, the $1 million prize will be shared equally among them. Prize redemption begins on December 23, 2024, at BGLL’s office in Belmopan, with ticket holders encouraged to keep their tickets in good condition. Tickets must retain a legible QR code and ticket number to claim winnings, and are valid for 30 days post-draw.

In the spirit of giving back, all proceeds from the event will be donated to charitable causes selected by the BGLL Board of Directors, emphasizing BGLL’s commitment to community support.
