Stable weather expected in Belize with brief showers in southern areas

Warm and dry conditions persist across Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect fair weather conditions today, as forecasted by the Belize National Meteorological Service. Clear skies will dominate most regions, with a slight increase in cloud cover expected tonight. Rain activity will be minimal, with only isolated showers anticipated, mostly over southern coastal areas later tonight. This forecast provides a reassuring outlook for a calm weather pattern across the country.

The marine forecast indicates light to moderate east-northeast winds between 5-15 knots, creating a choppy sea state with wave heights ranging from 3 to 5 feet. Coastal temperatures are forecasted to reach a high of 87°F (31°C) during the day and will drop to around 76°F (24°C) at night. Inland areas will see warmer daytime highs of about 91°F (33°C), while nighttime lows will descend to a cooler 70°F (21°C). In the hilly regions, temperatures are expected to be slightly lower, peaking at 76°F (24°C) and dipping to 65°F (18°C) by night.

On the tropical front, the National Hurricane Center is tracking Potential Tropical Cyclone 18, situated near 14.8N / 76.8W, or roughly 220 miles south of Kingston, Jamaica. This system is moving northward at 7 mph with sustained winds of 35 mph. Another active system, Tropical Storm Patty, is located east of the Azores at approximately 38.2N / 18.0W, progressing east-northeast at 20 mph with winds of 40 mph. Both systems are not currently a threat to Belize.

Looking ahead, the forecast suggests continued fair weather with isolated showers or thunderstorms possible in some areas. The tidal schedule will see a high tide at 12:10 PM, followed by a low tide at 5:01 PM. Belizeans can look forward to a sunrise at 5:52 AM tomorrow and a sunset at 5:19 PM today. The moonrise is set for 8:35 AM, with moonset expected by 7:41 PM, ensuring a stable atmospheric outlook for the day.
