Two new ambulances were handed over to the Western Regional Hospital

Contributed: This morning, two new ambulances were officially handed over to complement the existing fleet at Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan through the Embassy of Japan to Belize and the Grassroots Human Security and Cultural Projects.

The donation of these ambulances is a welcomed addition as it will increase response capacity in emergencies and it will provide safer transportation for improved management and intervention time.
At the conclusion of a short handing over ceremony, a ribbon cutting and handing over of keys was done on the hospital’s compound by H.E. Nobuyuki Shirakata, Japan Ambassador to Belize to the Minister of Health & Wellness, Hon. Kevin Bernard and two ambulance drivers of Western Regional Hospital.
