By Belize Live News Staff: Get ready for another day of unsettled weather across Belize. The National Meteorological Service is forecasting more showers, thunderstorms, and even periods of persistent rain due to lingering moist and unstable conditions.
This morning, expect cloudy skies with sunny breaks. The southern and coastal regions will see a few showers, isolated thunderstorms, and periods of rain. As the day progresses, the rain activity will shift inland, bringing showers and thunderstorms to central and northern areas by the afternoon. Tonight, skies will remain cloudy with outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the south and along the coast.
Temperatures will be typical for this time of year, reaching into the low 90s inland and staying in the comfortable 80s along the coast. Winds will be light and variable, becoming east-northeast at 5-10 knots, with seas slight to light chop and waves of 1-4 feet.
Monday will see a similar pattern with coastal showers and thunderstorms in the morning, moving inland in the afternoon. The good news is that no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the next 48 hours.
Residents are urged to stay tuned to weather updates and take necessary precautions. Remember, “When thunder roars, go indoors!”
