Hattieville man charged in double murder of pig farmer and workman

By Belize Live News Staff: In a significant development, Police have formally arrested and charged 22-year-old Ian Roy Herrera, a construction worker from Hattieville Village, with two counts of murder.

The charges are in connection with the deaths of pig farmer Joel Andrews, affectionately known as “New York,” and his workman, Martin Sho. Their lifeless bodies were discovered on October 23rd, 2023, at Andrews’ pig farm in Hattieville.

While authorities have not yet released specific details about the investigation or possible motives, the arrest of Herrera marks a crucial step toward justice.

Herrera is scheduled to appear in court soon to face the serious charges against him.
