By Belize Live News Staff: A pre dawn search by Orange Walk police has led to the discovery of almost 96 grams of suspected crack cocaine hidden in bushes in San Jose Nuevo Palmar Village.
Police say the search took place shortly after 5:00am on Friday. Officers found a yellow plastic bag in a bushy lot containing a white substance believed to be crack cocaine.
With no one nearby, the drugs were taken to the Orange Walk Police Station, weighed at 95.73 grams and logged as found property before being turned over to the exhibit keeper.
The find is one of several drug cases handled by Orange Walk police in recent days. Over the weekend, officers charged two Palmar Village men with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, arrested two men for possession of drug smoking utensils and recovered 3.88 grams of suspected cocaine on Staines Alley.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Orange Walk Police Station.
