By Belize Live News Staff: A tip led Orange Walk police to a stash of suspected cocaine hidden near a fence on Staines Alley over the weekend.
Police say officers searched the area on Saturday, October 31, and found a clear plastic bag holding 10 smaller packets marked with skulls. The packets contained a white powder believed to be cocaine.
Because no one was nearby, the drugs were recorded as found property and taken to the Orange Walk Police Station, where they weighed 3.88 grams.
The find was one of several drug related cases handled by Orange Walk police on Saturday, including two arrests for possession of utensils used for smoking controlled drugs.
Police are asking anyone with information on drug activity in the area to contact the Orange Walk Police Station.
