By Belize Live News Staff: A simple moment of forgetfulness has left a San Ignacio woman without her passport, visa and cash, and her family is hoping someone will help.
The woman was waiting for a ride at the Western Border on Monday night when she left her black Michael Kors tote on a bench outside the money exchange booth.
When she realized it was missing, the family checked surveillance footage. They say the video shows a woman wearing red shorts and a black blouse picking up the bag and getting into a red vehicle.
Losing a passport with a US visa can be especially difficult, as replacing them takes time and money.
The family is offering a reward for information that leads to the bag’s return, and is asking the person who picked it up to return it.
If you recognize the person or the vehicle, please contact the family at 610 8117.
