Family dispute over missing dog leads to police report in Belize City

By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City woman has made a police report after her family dog disappeared and was later allegedly linked to relatives.

Police say the woman reported that her children had gone outside to play on August 8 and that the family dog, named Clown, followed them.

The dog did not return.

Weeks later, the woman reportedly questioned two nieces about the animal.

According to the report, the nieces allegedly admitted that they had taken the dog at their mother’s request.

The complainant said attempts by family members to recover the dog were unsuccessful.

She subsequently made a report at the Raccoon Street Police Station.

The woman did not request court action.
