By Belize Live News Staff: A police operation near the Blue Creek Dam in Orange Walk resulted in the interception of a vehicle reportedly transporting quantities of meat and vegetables suspected to be uncustomed goods.
The operation was carried out by North HIT personnel on Friday, September 4.
Police say officers intercepted a white Dodge Ram driven by a 25 year old San Felipe Village resident.
Inside the vehicle, authorities reportedly discovered six boxes of oxtail, 15 sacks of onions and five sacks of cabbage.
The driver was escorted to the Orange Walk Customs Department, where the matter and goods were handed over to Customs personnel.
The report did not state where the goods originated or their estimated value.
Further action in relation to the suspected uncustomed goods will be determined by Customs authorities.
