By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Orange Walk have charged a motorcyclist with reckless driving after he allegedly failed to stop and began swerving along San Narciso Street.

The incident reportedly happened at around 1:20 a.m. on September 15 while officers were conducting mobile patrol.

Police say they noticed a black motorcycle with a defective rear light and signalled the rider to stop.

Instead, the rider allegedly continued driving and began moving from side to side along the roadway.

Officers followed for several minutes before intercepting him.

The rider reportedly told police he was not attempting to flee.

Nothing incriminating was found during a search, and police say his licence and insurance were valid.

The man was identified as 24 year old Nathan J. Navarrete of Orange Walk.

He was taken to the Orange Walk Police Station and later charged with reckless driving.
