By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City resident is asking police to investigate after discovering that a pair of Costa sunglasses valued at $750 had disappeared from his SUV.
The man told police that when he checked his vehicle on Friday morning, he noticed a strap that had previously been inside lying on the roadside.
Inside the SUV, documents had been disturbed and scattered, while the sunglasses he had left in the console the previous evening were gone.
The black Costa shades reportedly carried the engraving “Theo” and had a camouflage strap valued at an additional $75.
Police were told that later that morning, the complainant noticed a slim-built man wearing sunglasses resembling the missing pair and carrying a similar strap.
The total value of the missing property is $825.
No arrest has been made and the items have not been recovered.
Police continue to investigate the matter.
