By Belize Live News Staff: The work from home model has become a permanent fixture in Belize’s outsourcing sector, and Halo BPO is the latest to advertise for it.
The company is looking for sales agents nationwide, paying $8.50 BZD per hour on an 8:00am to 5:00pm schedule in Belize time.
Preference goes to applicants with appointment setting or home improvement backgrounds.
What separates remote BPO roles from office based ones is that the infrastructure cost shifts to the worker. Halo BPO requires 40 plus Mbps in both directions on a wired connection, since Wi-Fi introduces the kind of instability that drops calls.
The machine specification matters too. Quad core processor at 2.0GHz or above, 8GB RAM minimum, SSD preferred, and no Chromebooks.
You also need a webcam, a decent USB headset and a quiet space to work.
For those already equipped, it removes commute costs and transport time entirely.

Is remote work realistic for most Belizean households?
