By Belize Live News Staff: Belize has a quiet stretch ahead in the tropics, with forecasters saying no cyclone formation is expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
The all clear comes during what is normally an active period of the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs through November 30.
Locally, conditions remain settled. Light to moderate easterly airflow is supporting generally fair weather, with sunny skies and only isolated showers or thunderstorms expected today and tonight.
Marine conditions are calm enough for small craft. Easterly winds of 10 to 15 knots will produce a light chop with waves of 2 to 4 feet.
Thursday is expected to bring similar conditions.
Residents are still advised to keep an eye on updates through the season, as conditions can shift quickly during the peak months of August and September.
The National Meteorological Service issues updated forecasts and tropical outlooks daily.
