By Belize Live News Staff: Get ready for a damp one, as moist and unstable conditions settle in over Belize, bringing cloudy skies and a chance of showers and storms.
The National Meteorological Service reports that cloudy skies will dominate today, with a few showers and thunderstorms expected around the country. The activity should ease by this evening, before a few showers and isolated thunderstorms redevelop over the south tonight, with only isolated activity in other parts of the country.
It will stay warm despite the clouds. Inland areas will see the highest temperatures, reaching 91 degrees Fahrenheit (33 Celsius) before dipping to 74 (23 Celsius). Along the coast, highs will hit 87 degrees Fahrenheit (31 Celsius) with a low of 78 (26 Celsius), while the hills stay more comfortable, topping out at 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 Celsius) and falling to 68 (20 Celsius).
Out on the water, winds will blow from the east to northeast at 10 to 15 knots, with seas ranging from light chop to choppy and waves of 2 to 5 feet.
There is reassuring news on the tropical side, with no tropical cyclone formation expected anywhere in the region over the next 48 hours.
The outlook for Wednesday and Wednesday night calls for partly cloudy skies, with isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms developing.
