By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans are being advised to keep umbrellas nearby as unstable weather conditions continue affecting the country today.
The National Meteorological Service says cloudy skies with sunny breaks will dominate the forecast, accompanied by a few showers, periods of light rain and thunderstorms, especially across central and northern mainland areas during the morning.
Forecasters say southern Belize could experience additional showers and thunderstorms later tonight as moisture remains across the region. Despite the unstable conditions, daytime temperatures inland are still expected to climb as high as 93 degrees Fahrenheit.
Marine conditions remain moderate with waves reaching between 4 and 6 feet, making conditions manageable but somewhat rough for smaller vessels.
Weather officials expect similar conditions to continue into Wednesday with isolated showers and thunderstorms forecast for several areas, particularly over southern Belize during nighttime hours.’
